Recipe for Diet Food
Makhana Smoothie for weight loss
Ingredients:
Skim milk - 1 cup [150 ml]
Makhana - 15 g
Mixed nuts [powered almond and walnuts] - 1 tsp
Banana/apple/mango - 1 small
Chia seeds (soaked) - 2 tbsp
Date - 1 (optional)
Directions:
Combine all the dry ingredients and blend until finely powdered.
Add milk and blend once again, and serve immediately.
You can also add a date in place of banana/apple/mango.
Mexican Quinoa Fried Rice
Ingredients:
1 teaspoon finely sliced garlic
1/2 cup sliced onion
1/2 cup red capsicum sliced
1/2 cup cooked rajma
1/2 cup cooked sweetcorn
1/2 cup cherry tomatoes quartered (or tomato chopped)
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon cumin (jeera) powder
1-2 teaspoons red chili powder or flakes salt & pepper to taste
2-3 tablespoons tomato ketchup or tomato purée
2-3 tablespoons tomato ketchup or tomato purée
Recipe:
Heat 1 tsp oil
Sautée all veggies
Add seasonings
Add cooked Quinoa.
toss well.
Enjoy.
Protein-packed sandwich
Ingredients:
100 g Boiled chickpeas or Rajma
2 tbsp chopped red bell pepper
2tbsp chopped yellow bell pepper 2tbsp chopped tomatoes
2tbsp boiled corn
2tbsp chopped coriander leaves
3 tablespoons hung curd
2 medium lettuce leaves
Salt and spices, to taste
Multigrain bread/ Whole wheat bread
Recipe:
Prepare Chickpea Filling :
– Add chopped red and yellow bell peppers, tomatoes, boiled corn, hung curd, and coriander leaves.
Season to Taste :
Assemble the Sandwich :
– Place a lettuce leaf on each slice.
Layer the Filling :
